6500 people with an average age of 47 years were examined in
this study, which was presented at the American Heart Association conference
held in Philadelphia, USA.
According to American experts, taking care of weight, blood
sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure along with a healthy sleep and eating
routine, physical activity and not smoking can slow the aging process by six
years.

The researchers said that people with the best cardiovascular
health had a biological age (the rate at which people age each year) that was
six years less than their actual age.
Donald Lloyd-Jones, chair of the writing group, said: "The
research findings help us understand the relationship between chronological age
and biological age, helping us to understand how healthy lifestyles can help us
live longer. can
